A year after the release of the album ‘My Perception’, Black Box Revelation presents four new songs on the brand new EP ‘Sweet As Cinnamon’. Recorded during the My Perception sessions in LA with producer Alain Johannes, ‘Sweet As Cinnamon’ showcases BBR’s unique sound in four very different compositions.
‘My Girl’, a setlist favorite on the last tour, is a slow burning, psychedelic rocker that was edited from a 25min jam and is probably the sexiest song they’ve written so far. ‘Shiver As Joy’ was already released as a teaser single on a US only EP and is a classic BBR rocker – groovy as a pair of tits with whipped cream and a cherry on top! ‘Sweet As Cinnamon’ is the perfect mix between the Rolling Stones and The Beach Boys complete with sunny “ooh ooh” backing vocals and a simple but addictive melody in just 2 minutes and closer ‘Good Swimmer’ shows Jan en Dries stripped to the bone and raw, ready to sell their soul Robert Johnson style.
