Today sees breakthrough producer salute release his new single ‘One More Chance’ featuring Virginia based vocalist D.R.A.M., taken from his forthcoming ‘My Heart’ mini-album. The track sees the fast rising talent showcase his innate skill at combining soulful melodies and intricate instrumentals with D.R.A.M.’s gravelly, heartfelt vocals.

Hailing from Vienna and now living in Brighton, salute is an incredibly talented 20 year old who draws on a wide range of musical influences to create his genre blurring electronica. salute’s affinity for UK bass culture and US hip-hop & trap at an early age has helped shape his development as an artist whilst his upbringing in Austria has helped influence his unique sound that sets him apart from the pack.

‘One More Chance’ is another stunning example of salute’s songwriting and production skills and acts as the perfect teaser of new music to come. In regards to the song's origins, salute explains, “When I made the track I'd intended it to be a 2 minute gospel instrumental, inspired by being brought up on gospel music played to me by my parents. I then thought it would actually sound interesting in a club context. At the same time, me and D.R.A.M. started following each other on Twitter, and once we'd started messaging each other he had said he was a fan of my music. I sent the same track over to him and here we are!”

In addition to D.R.A.M., the ‘My Heart’ mini-album features vocals from a wealth of breakthrough talent salute has connected with while releasing his music online over the past few years; ‘Weigh It Up’ features the silky vocals of Leeds based artist/producer Krrum, Brooklynite KAMAU brings a playful tone to ‘Forever (Pearls)’ with his syncopated flow and the enigmatic Yami effortlessly contributes a haunting vocal to ‘Yours & Mine’.

salute’s previous release, October 2015’s ‘Gold Rush’ EP, featured a guest spot from prominent Atlanta talent ABRA and saw him pick up backing from a host of tastemakers such as The FADER, Dummy and i-D alongside support from BBC Radio One stalwarts Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart, the latter stating, “The more you listen to the music that salute puts out the more you realise that this guy’s got such a fertile mind, he listens to so many different genres because he packs it so densely... amazing.”

salute has made a name for himself in recent month with his energetic DJ sets whilst supporting the likes of Caribou, Flume & Rustie on tour but will be debuting a new full band live set-up at The Great Escape at the end of the month before announcing further live dates later in the year.
