The Last Shadow Puppets release their new single ‘My Mistakes Were Made For You’ on Monday the 20th of October 2008.
Taken from their Mercury nominated ‘The Age Of The Understatement’ album, ‘My Mistakes Were Made For You’ features the London Metropolitan Orchestra, conducted by Owen Pallet.
B-sides for ‘My Mistakes Were Made For You’ include an exclusive live orchestrated version of the band’s ‘Separate And Ever Deadly’ plus live cover versions of the Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra classic ‘Paris Summer’ and the Burt Bacharach penned, Love covered ‘My Little Red Book’.
The Last Shadow Puppets are Alex Turner and Miles Kane. The band have recently played their first ever live shows, including rapturously received performances at the Reading and Leeds festivals. The Last Shadow Puppets will be touring the UK in October, including a special BBC Electric Proms performance at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall on Friday the 24th of October.
